What is the best way to book a driving test via Codrive?

Taking the driving test is an exciting moment for many, and at Codrive, we understand that timely access to an exam date is crucial.

Unfortunately, available times for driving tests are scarce and in high demand. We receive daily requests from students who want to book their driving test as soon as possible. In this blog post, we explain how the booking process at Codrive works and give you some tips to increase your chances of securing an exam date.

**Exclusive exams for Codrive students**

As a privileged partner of the exam center, Codrive is fortunate to reserve 10 exams weekly: 8 in Kontich and 2 in Deurne.

These exams are distributed internally among our driving instructors. But how exactly does this work?

As soon as an instructor has a student who is ready to take the exam, they check if there is a free exam slot available within our internal schedule. This slot is then added to the instructor's calendar and appears online on our website. From that moment on, the student can officially book the exam.

What about new students who only want to book an exam?

We often notice that new students approach us wanting to book an exam only, without prior lessons with one of our coaches. Although we understand these requests, it is often more difficult to process them. Here is why:

Limited Availability: Our exams for the coming weeks are often fully booked quickly. Demand is high and spots are limited, making it difficult for new students to find a free spot immediately.

Future Uncertainty: Our coaches have often not yet opened up their schedules for weeks further in the future. This means that at that moment, there is no clarity as to whether a future exam can be scheduled in their work calendar.

Why booking a lesson first is a smart choice

For new students, we strongly recommend booking a driving lesson with one of our coaches first. This has several advantages:

Direct consultation regarding an exam date: During your lesson, you can immediately discuss with your coach which exam dates are possible. The coach then has a better overview of their own schedule and can act faster to book an exam for you.

Targeted preparation: During the lesson, the coach can also provide you with feedback on your driving skills and advise you on the best timing for your exam. This ensures that you appear at the start well-prepared.

The Secretariat: A supporting role

Although our secretariat is always available to answer general questions, it plays a less significant role in scheduling driving exams. It is our coaches who manage the exams and make them available via their personal calendars.

Conclusion

Booking a driving exam is a process that requires some flexibility and patience, especially given the limited availability of exam dates. By booking a lesson with a Codrive coach first, you not only increase your chances of quickly securing an exam date, but you are also better prepared for your big day. So schedule a driving lesson today and discuss your exam with your coach!
